Reiki is a set of techniques of Tibetan origin whereby we allow ourselves as healer facilitators and self-healers to channel Universal life-force energy. This essence of life-force helps to balance us on all levels of our being. This gentle form of hands-on healing harnesses energy, which is present in every living thing in our universe and is therefore completely natural and can never be misused.

On the physical body level Reiki accelerates the healing of wounds, and regenerates tissue and organs.

On the emotional level Reiki balances us and helps us to cope better with lifes emotional challenges. Reiki tends to highlight certain problem areas in our life, showing us our patterns and helps us find solutions to these obstacles. Reiki also helps to cushion or support us when we do have emotional upsets, and because the energy transcends time and space, there are no barriers to stop us from healing problems from the past as well as preparing us for possible future problems.

On the mental level, Reiki works pretty much the same as on the emotional, as the mental and emotional processes are strongly connected with each other. Mentally Reiki also helps us to focus and to function with clarity.

On the spiritual level, Reiki helps us to connect with our true purpose, as well as with higher beings whose function it is to serve our greatest good.
Reiki, practiced regularly, also improves our intuition and it has an accelerating effect on our path of spiritual growth.

Reiki is for everyone. It is non-denominational. It is a natural way of getting in touch with something which is believed to be inherently encoded into our DNA.

It is also believed that the healing energy used in Reiki has an intelligence all of its own and will only effect changes when it is for the highest good of the person whose healing is being facilitated.

In an average Reiki session, the client will undergo an "interview" to establish the purpose for the healing session. Then the clients aura and physical body will be "scanned" to locate areas of blockage, depletion or negativity. The next step is to remove the blockages etc and then to fill those spaces with Universal life-force energy.
Symbols are used during the Reiki session to help bring through various levels of healing energy, e.g physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.
