The karma or how to build up your own life
From occult point of view to accept the existence of the karma means also to accept your own responsibility. Most people think that karma is fate or destiny, which is far from the truth. It is considered that destiny and fate point that in life everything is predetermined (the verdict is final,) usually in negative sense, and it is not a subject to alternation. Many people would express their indignation at such dark perspective. From occult point of view the karma constantly changes and as a rule it is a variable quantity. Occultly and metaphysically viewed when we speak of karma we mean an accumulation of effects from causes and to be more precise those causes and effects, which are bred by our own thoughts and actions. The essence of the karma is expressed with these words: We build up our lives. We are entirely responsible for everything that has happened to us. Nothing just happens, we control our lives.
There are no accidental choices, no coincidences. According to the karma nobody can do any harm to us, unless we don't allow him (or invite him) to do so. In one way or another we set the course of our mutual relations. The people in our life also have their karma. If they prefer to leave us, we can't do anything to stop them and if they prefer to stay then they have a contribution of equal worth to the karmic relations. Said with simple words, if the karmas of two people fit, we get a relationship.
To an outside eye some events may seem accidental, but closer scrutiny reveals that we've built the respective atmosphere that proved to be the proper one for these events, allowing them to happen. We call forth the events, draw them to us and participate in them.
The acceptance of a certain situation can make it longer, but usually this happens unwittingly. It can be also included a conscious choice that we have no other choice. If we develop further the idea of the karma, an unexpectedly large scope of action will reveal to us. No one else is interested in our karma, we are those, who build it up. We may have chosen to believe in something else, this is also our karma – according to the definition of karma, one chooses his conviction by himself, including that there is no karma for example. The choice becomes also an effect. The cause – these are the results from the choice we made. By its nature the karma is something cumulative, collective, a sum of accumulated causes and effects. If we tackle the karma seriously and consciously, we could be able to change it and then we would be able to get over the so called real choices. To overcome and totally change our karma, it is necessary to go deep in the idea of the reincarnation. This requires mental work and time, but it is enough to begin with the present, real choices that are in front of us, i.e. the karma, related only to the present life.
Pearls of karmic wisdom are:
We reap as we sow. He who lives by the sword shall perish by the sword. He that mischief hatches mischief catches.
The karma is not inertness and it is not obedience too. Each of us takes part in it by himself. We chose, drew or participated in something, we tried to make the things go in accordance with our wishes. The karma is also activity and this means that in the same way we can change everything in our lives or karmas -as we build up, create, participate or choose. We have every right to make new causes and motives, and of course after that to take the consequences.
Normally we don't realize what have we done and what can we do involuntary in our lives. And precisely then, many things happen to us as if out of the blue, and it seems that somebody else is to blame for everything bad that befalls us. Before the reincarnation the soul makes its choice to open the door to the place, which it has chosen by itself, immediately after the reincarnation this information is forgotten. You can retrieve it with much work and many efforts, but this happens while walking on the path of life and learning lessons from life.
The new-born doesn't have any memories, but what we have experienced leaves a scar on us, somewhere in the deepest sub consciousness' layers. We can decide to bring the information back to our consciousness. We just have to get acquainted with the main reincarnation principles and more precisely with our present life. Everything is a matter of personal choice, which means the taking of the responsibility too. To overcome our karma it is good for us to know, which are the problems that occur most frequently and are related with it:
1. Your irrational fears and phobias, whose origin could not be found in this life. 2. You feel guilty or of no value (often in concrete sphere) and this is your stable model of behavior, which also could not be explained with your experience in life before now. 3. Sexual fears or persistent fantasies (usually pointing to karmic memories). 4. Personal prejudices that seem absurd and irrational assuming your present objects and moral worth. Formerly they were appropriate, but this was long time ago. 5. The personal identity problems (Am I not playing somebody else's role?) 6. Inexplicable hypochondria or fear of death (recollections of former death can cause serious karmic neuroses). In such way could be also explained the phobias, for example from fire, heights, water etc. 7. We could also mention the difficult and unclear relations.
The souls look for each other in time and reincarnate in groups. This gives explanation to our relationships and even to the mutual likes or dislikes. We don't trust easily. Many of us are born with prejudices. But sometimes we meet someone and we have the feeling that we have known the person for ten years although we see him for the first time. We meet each other to unbind our personal karmic knots, we give and take, and each of us continues walking on his preliminary chosen life path. We can choose to be together and in this way to stay in the general choice of the shared karmic line. This can be formed as an action (karma) on the basis of some of the mutual love levels. Love in its variations of binding actions.
The best and exact explanation for karma is hiding in these wise words:
The worldly man is deluded and when acting, his actions bring him bondage, but devoid of attachment are the actions of the wise man. The wise yoga, whose mind is established in knowledge, who works for the sake of sacrifice, should not trouble the ignorant man, who acts from attachment to action.
The skill to change the world around us and to change our karma, modeling it by our wish, requires right thinking, right desiring, right acting. For the purpose we must look deep into ourselves and discover the hindrances, which are inside us and lay on our Path (our karma). The law of the karma requires from the man to take full responsibility of his destiny. Many people suffer because they have lost the sense, trying to get rid of the responsibility. If we search for the sense, for the meaning, we find the guilt first. If we accept the guilt, the sense will also reveal to us. The man can't cross out and delete his former actions, thoughts and affairs with the new day, as he can't purify his past with rebirth. He has to spin the thread, he spun up to now. And he can try to spin it even, steady and beautiful.
