Is hypnosis dangerois?
The hypnosis, by definition, is a getting round of the critical factor of the conscious mind and establishing of acceptable, selective thinking. It is a normal and spontaneous mind condition all the people have felt at least thousands of times. Though there are many fears and false believes, regarding the hypnosis. They must be clarified and so to be overcome by these who want to put themselves to this pleasant experience. Some of the most spread delusions which need special explanation are the following ones:
–Hypnosis is not dreaming. Just the contrary, the hypnosis has a relaxing effect only on the physical body, while the brain keeps working at a higher speed than usually. During the hypnosis one hears, smells, tastes and if with open eyes even sees 10 times better than when in normal condition. So hypnosis is definitely not dreaming. –Hypnosis is a natural consciousness and mind condition. For example you feel some kind of hypnosis when you dream, miss a bus-stop, cry during a movie, fear of what you've read in a book and so on. –Hypnotist can't control you. It would be better if he could do this, thus he could have the possibility to help you without you taking any part in it. But unfortunately he can't do this. No matter how deeply hypnotized, you have to accept completely each suggestion so it can reach your subconsciousness and work the desired changes. Even the slightest disagreement will demesmerize you. –There is no danger to stay hypnotized. Even if something happens to the hypnotist, it doesn't mean that you will stay in a hypnotic state. At the moment you become aware that there is something wrong, you may immediately emerge yourself or if you prefer you may fall asleep and then awake absolutely safe, without problems –Hypnosis has never been dangerous and no one has ever been hurt. –Actually hypnosis doesn't exist, this what really exists is self-hypnosis. The hypnotist is just your guide, who helps you to achieve the necessary state of self-hypnosis and thus to change the things you want by yourself. Nothing that you couldn't do all alone. –The worst thing that can happen to you is to fall asleep instead of getting into a state of hypnosis.
Every average intelligent person, who is capable of following the hypnotist's instructions, wants to be hypnotized and doesn't have unjustified fears concerning this pleasant state – can be hypnotized. What is more, many of the problems are normally solved with 1 to 3 procedures. Hypnotherapy and hypnosis are most successfully used for:
- pain and stress control;
- giving up smoking;
- losing overweight;
- all kinds of phobias;
- getting off liquor;
- inorganic impotence corrections;
- regressive hypnosis and hypno-analysis;
- painless delivery;
- people with cancer;
- improvement of sports results;
- pre- and post-surgical hypnosis;
- ‘unlocking’ of metaphysical abilities.
